Artcraft, in conjunction with Streets Ahead Maintenance, were contracted to supply and install the full permanent sign package on one of the more complex sections of the Woolgoolga to Ballina project in NSW. Comprising over 480 permanent signs, 21 of these were installed on specially designed and fabricated large sign structures. All aspects of the fabrication and installation, including the pile footings, were managed and implemented by Artcraft and Streets Ahead Maintenance.
Artcraft worked with the client from the early stages of the project supplying and installing temporary road work signs throughout the project spanning over 3 years.

Adjacent to section 3 above, Artcraft were also contracted to supply and install the full permanent sign package for section 4 of the Woolgoolga to Ballina project. The scope contained over 330 signs with 27 of these on large fabricated sign structures. All aspects of the fabrication and installation, including the pile footings, were managed and implemented by Artcraft and Streets Ahead Maintenance. Coordination was paramount for a section containing this number of large structures, and also at the same time we were on other W2B sites. The project was successfully completed in the first half of 2020, during a challenging year.

All sections of the Woolgoolga to Ballina project in NSW were under construction simultaneously, and Artcraft were the main supplier and installer of permanent signs for most sections. Section 10/11 involved the supply and install of over 310 signs with 16 being on large fabricated sign structures. As with other sections, all aspects of the fabrication and installation, including the pile footings, were managed and implemented by Artcraft and Streets Ahead Maintenance. Two of the largest sign structures for the entire project were within this section. Ground conditions were particularly challenging in this area, but all were completed successfully.

All aspects of the fabrication and installation, including the pile footings, were managed and implemented by Artcraft and Streets Ahead Maintenance, whilst providing our services for other sections at the same time. We successfully completed all installations by mid 2020.

Transurban Queensland’s $512 million Logan Enhancement Project was one of the largest road projects in the Brisbane region for some time. Artcraft were contracted to supply and install in excess of 1200 signs for this project, many being installed at night. Working on such a large-scale and long-term project, we had to adapt to numerous program changes and work around other contractors. At some points during the project, we had up to 10 fully qualified installers on-site at various sections of the motorway. The manual labour was assisted by several specialist vehicles such as non-destructive hydro-vacuum excavation trucks, trucks with 26m mounted elevated working platforms, crane trucks, franna cranes and excavators.
The project has been a huge success and will greatly improve Logan’s local economy as well as drastically reducing travel time and enhancing safety on the motorway. This project showcased Artcraft’s ability to efficiently work collaboratively and precisely with other contractors on such a large, multi-stakeholder project.

Artcraft, in conjunction with Streets Ahead Maintenance, supplied and installed over 5000 signs into the Commonwealth Games network, spanning from Brisbane Airport through to Tweed Heads (NSW border). There was a vast range of signage needed, including parking signage, games route network signage, baton relay signage, traffic control signage and event signage.

Victorias Department of Transport engaged Artcraft's services in September 2020 to remove a large number of outdated Guide Signs on their road network, removing the signs, the old flood lighting and inspecting the structure before replacing with new Guide Signs. The project was designed, manufactured and installed over a 5 week period with zero incidents and to great praise from the department.
Our Adelaide team recently completed the design, manufacture, supply and installation of all Signs and Structures to the Gateway South Project in Adelaide. The $620m project designed and awarded to Fulton Hogan and Laing O’Rourke was part of the larger North-South Corridor upgrade.
South Australia Tourism round 2!
